Refund policy

At Layer Story, we want to keep our return and refund process simple and clear. Please read the policy below before requesting a return.
🔁 1. Return Window
You can request a return within 7 days after receiving your order.
Once your replacement or exchange is approved:
- Replacement will be shipped within 3–5 business days.
- Delivery usually takes around 7–10 business days.
✅ 2. Return Eligibility
Your product must meet the following conditions:
- The product must be unused.
- It must be in the same condition as received.
- It must have the original packaging, tags, and accessories.
- You must have the order details, receipt, or proof of purchase.
Products that do not meet these conditions may not be accepted for return.

Once your return is approved, we will share the return instructions.
Please do not send the product back without getting approval from us first.
💰 4. Shipping Charges & Refund Amount
Important: Shipping charges will be deducted from your refund amount.
If You Do Not Like the Product or Change Your Mind
- The delivery shipping charge will be deducted.
- The return shipping charge will also be deducted.
- The remaining amount will be refunded after the product is received and checked.
Refund Calculation:
Product Price – Delivery Shipping Charge – Return Shipping Charge = Final Refund Amount
If your order had free shipping, the actual or standard shipping cost paid by Layer Story may still be deducted from your refund.
⚠️ 5. Damaged, Defective or Wrong Product
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Please share:
- Your Order ID
- Clear photos of the product
- Photos showing the damage or defect
- Photos of the packaging
- Unboxing video, if available
After we check and approve your request, the product may need to be returned to us.
The applicable delivery shipping charge and return shipping charge may be deducted from the refundable amount.
The remaining eligible amount will be refunded after we receive and inspect the returned product.
❌ 6. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are normally not eligible for return:
- Sale or clearance items
- Custom-made products
- Made-to-order products
- Products damaged due to misuse or improper handling after delivery
🔄 7. Exchanges & Replacements
If your exchange or replacement request is approved:
- The replacement product will be shipped within 3–5 business days.
- Delivery usually takes around 7–10 business days.
- Replacement is subject to product availability.
In some cases, you may need to return the original product before the replacement is sent.
💳 8. Refund Process
Once we receive your returned product, our team will inspect it.
If your refund is approved:
- Applicable shipping charges will be deducted.
- The remaining refund amount will be sent to your original payment method.
- Refunds are normally processed within 7–10 business days.
Your bank, UPI provider, card company, or payment provider may take some extra time to reflect the refund.

⚠️ 9. Important Points
- If you return the product because you do not like it or changed your mind, both the delivery shipping charge and return shipping charge will be deducted.
- If the product is damaged, defective, or incorrect, applicable delivery and return shipping charges may also be deducted.
- Free shipping does not always mean the delivery cost was zero. The shipping cost paid by Layer Story may be deducted from the refund.
- Refunds are processed only after we receive and inspect the returned product.
- Please use a trackable courier service while returning the product.
- Layer Story is not responsible for return parcels lost during transit when shipped by the customer.
- Returns that do not meet our policy conditions may be rejected.
